Troubles don’t seem to end for jailed AIADMK general secretary V.K. Sasikala, as a video footage was submitted to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) allegedly by ex-deputy inspector general of police (DIG) (Prisons) D. Roopa showing V.K. Sasikala and her relative Ilavarasi, convicted by the Supreme Court in the disproportionate assets case, walking into the main entry area holding a bag at the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in civilian attire.

Earlier in July, Roopa grabbed headlines when she said that Sasikala availed VIP treatment like being served specially cooked meals, apart from other facilities in the prison by bribing jail officials. Roopa, in a report to the Director General (Prisons), had said there are speculations that Sasikala paid a bribe to prison officials to get special facilities for her.

Sasikala has been lodged at the Parappana Agrahara central jail in Bengaluru since her sentence in February in a disproportionate assets case along with her two relatives, VN Sudhakaran and Ilavarasi, all serving a four-year jail term.
