Dileep’s manager Appunni had gone hiding ever since the actor was arrested in the Malayalam actress abduction case. The absconding manager finally appeared before the Kerala police for questioning at the Aluva Police Club on Monday morning.
Appunni surrendered before the Aluva Police Club and told waiting media persons that he has no role to play in the case. In his plea, Appunni had expressed fears that he could be subjected to third-degree methods of questioning. The police claimed that Appunni was hiding at a resort in north Goa.
Though he is not named accused in the case, police believe that he knew about the conspiracy and helped Dileep to tamper evidence. Police has also found that Pulsar Suni had called Appunni from the coin booth in jail. Vishnu, the jail inmate of Pulsar Suni, had handed over the letter written by the accused to the manager.
Appunni’s surrender before the police will now be very vital for the police to complete the investigation of the Malayalam actress assault case.
