International pop sensation and Grammy Award winning Canadian singing sensation Justin Bieber arrived here early on Wednesday at the Mumbai International Airport at around 1:30 am in a chartered flight along with his crew amidst tight security for his first concert in India. Bieber arrived looking relaxed and geared up to entertain Indian ‘Beliebers’ as part of his Purpose World Tour. A group of fans had gathered to welcome him, to a waiting car which took him to his hotel in Lower Parel.
Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale said 500 security personnel along with 25 officers have been positioned to ensure proper security at the stadium, with drone cameras keeping a persistent watch. Part from local police and the singer’s own security detail, Salman Khan’s bodyguard Shera has also been roped in to ensure Bieber’s safety.
Bieber will be showered with custom-made gifts including Actor Ranbir Kapoor’s jewellery designer sister Ridhimma Kapoor Sahni will be gifting a rare wreath-shaped necklace, studded with rubies and marquise diamonds, and encrusted in platinum and 18k gold, to the singer’s mother.
Bieber is getting a royal treatment during his India stay. Tickets are priced upwards of Rs 5,000, and around 45,000 ‘Beliebers’ fans have come from different parts of the country to be a part of the gig at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. He will be served rich authentic cuisine representing the 29 Indian states. A convoy of 10 luxury sedans and two Volvo buses will be at the disposal of the artiste and his entourage of 120 throughout their stay. A Rolls Royce has been reserved for Bieber. Even the suite of the five-star hotel where Bieber will stay has been modified to include truly Indian elements.
Since, it is Biebs’ first ever visit to India, the singer has made some really hefty demands that will put all other demands that were ever made in the entire history of demands to shame!
